I love Oh Snaps but the magnetic strength of this version is definitely less than the last one. I used to be able to stick it to the pulley at the gym with my last version but this version won’t do that.
I’ve had it for about 2 weeks now. I really like it so far. Fun to pull it off and fidget with as well. I’m using iPhone pro max, so my phone is huge, and my pinky was getting tired holding it from the bottom.
Thought I would love this Snap Grip 5 but only took a day of use to find that it is too finicky for my taste. The color (Orchid) is beautiful the magnet is super strong and plenty adequate, but the flimsy way that the disk rises to fit fingers between or around is subpar, and the tiny plastic connections make me a bit nervous about their actual lifespan. The disk barely fits back into place after a day of use, requiring a lot of extra messing around. My hands are arge for a woman and my forefinger barely fits. I can't imagine that this would work for many men, unless their hands are smaller. The thin profile is nice, but not worth all the fussing IMNSHO. Back to a popsocket for me.
Look no further than the Snap Grip for your phone grip needs. Just one caveat: in my experience, it does not allow pass-through wireless charging. I don’t mind that, but your mileage may vary.
Thought I would love this Snap Grip 5 (which took about two weeks to arrive from NJ? to CA!) but only took a day of use to find that it is too finicky for my taste. The color is beautiful the magnet is super strong and plenty adequate, but the flimsy way that the disk rises to fit fingers between or around is subpar, and makes me nervous about the life span of those tiny plastic connections. The disk already barely fits back into place after a day of use, requiring a lot of extra messing around. My hands are large for a woman and my forefinger barely fits. I can't imagine that this would work for many men, unless their hands are smaller. The thin profile is nice, but not worth all the fussing IMNSHO. Back to a popsocket for me.
I was really excited about this grip, but after 3 days I noticed that when I am using it as a grip with one finger or two around the hinged stem it does not clock back into place and is almost floppy and not fully closed. The stem easily bends and I have to play around with it to even try to get it to close.
I have invested in OhSnap for since the beginning. I have the car mount, two stands and chargers, as well as the sticky mounts. The 5 is strong, magnetically, on my phone. Where it hasn’t been strong is when I stick it to any surface. The magnets aren’t as strong as the previous versions. That weak magnet strength has caused drops onto my kitchen counter top. I’ve cracked two screen protectors already. I switched back to the 4. I feel more confident in the magnets.
The Snap Grip 5 is gorgeous, has a super powerful magnetic grip and is the perfect size for my iPhone. It is about 1/16 inches high when in place and comes in a large assortment of eye-catching colors. It's very easy to engage and when seated also serves to protect the camera lenses of my iPhone by keeping the back raised when I lay it down.
