Within the first week of normal use adhesive failed on the product. I replaced the adhesive with a new one provided in the package in conjunction with the vinyl sticker and that only lasted approximately an additional week. I asked for it to be replaced with the adhesive free grip 5 but was told I was out of warranty even though I purchased it 2/28/26.
Everything works as advertised, the size, the attachment method, the functions... EXCEPT, it will not charge on my wireless charger with my magsafe case. I must remove the grip to charge every night and in my car. I was bummed. I knew this when I purchased it because I had bought one for my wife, but I still like it, I think it's great, it's just not perfect. I hope that helps
Disappointed it will not wirelessly charge while attached to MagSafe case. Plastic feels a little flimsy and can be hard to pop out one handed. I’ve nearly dropped my phone several times because the magnet came undone.
I've had a pop socket version of the Snap Grip 4 for a couple of years and have been generally happy with it. What I don't like is that it's not very comfortable to hold over time. The Snap Grip 4 is definitely more comfortable to hold, but there are a couple of issues that make it difficult to recommend. Here are my gripes:1. It's hard to open with one hand. 2. The magnets are very strong. However, if you have the snap grip on your phone and then attach it and the phone on a MagSafe car mount, it can be very difficult to pry off the mount without leaving the snap grip still attached to the mount. Prying the grip off of the mount can be very difficult because of how well adhered it is to the mount. I wind up trying to work my fingernails into the thin seam between grip and mount which isn't easy to do. 3. If you leave the grip on the phone to charge via MagSafe, there's a good chance the grip will not come off with the phone when you take it off the charger. Same basic issue as the car mount: the magnets are so strong that it's difficult to get ahold of it.I don't want to give up on the Snap Grip, but I'm still using the pop socket much more than it.
I love the magnetic capabilities and the kickstand are great. I've had mine for almost 2 years now, but it's starting give me finger and hand pain while I use it. Don't know if that's common, but I'm going to switch to something else or no grip for a little while.
This is still my favorite grip that I’ve personally ever used but the magnets, I feel aren’t as strong as the last model. I’ve seen my phone slowly slide down metal surfaces that previously did not, it also doesn’t have as strong of a connection with the oh snap car mount. Hit a bump big enough and it will fly off when it previously did not.I still appreciate it being so thin I can easily slide my phone in and out of my pocket as if it’s not even there I also appreciate the convenience of MagSafe charging through it.
New design and magnetic over adhesive is great on the phone HOWEVER unlike my older version snap, it does not have a strong bond to ohsnap car mount. Previous snap was rock solid, new version however does not pair well with car mount which is pretty disappointing. Phone keeps falling onto floor ☹️
