Takes a little time to get used to using it at first. But it is so worth it. The compatibility and the ease of use and being able to have such a magnetic grip to put on your microwave or your fridge or anywhere metal so you can just watch something without destroying your cervical spine and use it for cooking looking at recipes and much more and even for Mounting on their car grip or any other magnetic car grip it is by far the best phone accessory I have ever bought... it’s also extremely beautiful and matches any theme that you have on your phone... bravo guys
Slim, strong and still allows for passthrough charging with my magnetic chargers. It can take some time to get used to and not as easy to use as my loop ring I prefer with my zflip, but a great alternative since I can't find a mag case that allows charging and has a loop ring.
Overall, I give this 2 stars. Those two are for the strength of the magnet and overall depth of the grip. Knocked off stars because 1) it's functionality as a stand is minimal; 2) the mechanism for expanding/contracting the grip has no memory (despite what they say) - every other use and the thing gets all out of whack and 3) it's not a comfortable grip. I am contemplating a return.
I had the original ohsnap and it worked great and the magnet stuck to everything (gym equipment and any other vertical surface). This one looks great, but the actual grip feels like it takes 2 hands to open, and the magnet just slides everywhere. It even got a few scratches because of that within the first few days. It’s ok, but overall I like the older one better
I’ve been an Ohsnap fan for a long time. Love the style, the profile and the dependability of the grip. Hands-down, my favorite grip I’ve ever used, but the newest Grip-5 got rid of the charge-thru. Now I have to remove the grip to charge. It’s a bit unfortunate that this change wasn’t described in the marketing. I have my Grip 4 that’s still functional, I just upgraded my phone and wanted to upgrade my grip as well. Looks like I’ll be keeping my Grip 4 on instead.
I really love the idea of this, but I don't think mine is working properly. Or doesn't magnet back shut/flush/closed unless I put my phone down on its back. I have to hold it down to slip it into my pocket.
