Great phone at an exceptional price

This is a great phone at a great price. Camera takes very nice pictures and I have yet to run down the battery. I do wish there was a smaller option like the z3 I was replacing and there are older android features I miss (not Motorola's fault) like shrink the screen and other little things. But for the money this phone is outstanding and I highly recommend it!

The Worst Phone I've Ever Used – A Complete Disast

I have never in my entire life— even before smartphones existed— had such a terrible experience with a device as I have with the Motorola G Play (2024). This phone is an absolute nightmare!
The hardware is painfully weak, slow, and unresponsive. Even the simplest tasks feel like a struggle, with constant lag and freezes. The software is just as bad— glitchy, outdated, and full of bugs that make the phone nearly unusable. Apps crash randomly, the screen responsiveness is terrible, and the overall performance is beyond frustrating.
Motorola should be ashamed to sell a device this bad in 2025. I wouldn’t recommend this phone to my worst enemy. If you’re considering buying it, save yourself the headache and look elsewhere!

I bought this 2024 Moto G Play to replace my 2021 Moto G Power that I broke the lens of the back camera. I've had it a few weeks now and I'm very pleased with it. Battery life is excellent. Takes great photos. Good UI. No complaints. This is my third Motorola phone, so I think I'm hooked.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor Features?

Phone's microphone goes out sometimes, which lasts a while. I had to swap phones, but that caused me to lose a LOT of photos, and other media on my phone and account. The screen sometimes glitches, the numbers/wording will halfway disappear, which lasts about 45 to an hour. Other than this, I guess, the phone works just fine!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
