Not as good as expected
on November 16, 2022
Posted by: Hazley,Christopher
Speaker has a lot of static when played at lower volumes. I was expecting a clear, crisp sound but have not gotten that experience. Too much trouble to send back at this point so will probably keep it and use for another few months, put it in storage for 10 years, then examine it in 2035 and wonder what the heck is the point of this block speaker.

Perfect Device

Perfect all-in-one meeting device. It's a great tool for consolidating wires, using a clear sounding microphone, powerful speaker, and having two monitors connected to a laptop that you want to shut.

Finally a dock for an M1 Mac
on October 16, 2022

Very simply, a year after its release the Logi Dock is the only dock I’ve found that works with an M1 Apple MacBook from a reputable brand. It does not support dual screens and does not have an Ethernet port which can be a deal breaker for some. However, the speaker and mic array are phenomenal. I sit in a lot of meetings and since using this dock, consistently get comments that it sounds like I’m in the room with my colleagues (as compared to a Poly 40).

Great device for conference calls and the speaker is amazing. Plenty of ports to expand what you computer lacks. Easy to connect and get started.

Great product for working remotely
on September 22, 2022

Great product, it's exactly what I was looking for. I work remotely, and I was trying to clean up my cable mess. I also wanted a better way to listen to music while I was working. This really fits the need nicely. The microphone mute button is also very handy for video conferencing. The only gripe I have is with Logitech software utilities - they really need to merge. I have this, a webcam, wireless mouse and keyboard, and that requires three different software utilities? C'mon, Logitech, put some money into your software apps department.

Stylish and functional!
on September 19, 2022

Looks great on the desk and packs a crazy amount of functionality into a tiny space. Perfect for a minimal desk without compromising. I have a nice Blue Yeti Mic and I tested the microphone quality on both and it's very close. The Blue Yeti mic has a better sound, but the noise cancelling and clear audio quality for video calls are hardly noticeable. Unless I'm recording a podcast, the Blue Yeti mic hardly gets used anymore. The sound quality of the speakers is great as well. The indicator lights are super convenient. I love that it lights up when my calls start and I can be on the call instantly with the push of a button without having to search for links and open apps. Pretty powerful little box! I don't have much desk space, so this is perfect!

Elegant desktop simplification for laptops and flexibility
on September 18, 2022

This makes my desk so much cleaner, and makes it easy to switch between home and work devices. When my spouse needs to take a video meeting, she can just plug her laptop right in and get the advantages of a great screen, camera, speakers, keyboard and mouse without needing to use my computer.
I researched the dock quite a bit before buying, and it actually works better than I expected it to.
Pros:
1. Lots of ports
2. Can handle a Logitech Brio webcam -- many hubs cannot
3. All of the buttons except one (join meeting) work with Windows AND ChromeOS
4. The shape is great
5. Sound quality is decent
6. Microphone is good for speech
Cons:
1. A tad pricey
2. No ethernet -- I had to use another adapter
3. Join meeting button doesn't work on ChromeOS
4. Volume changes can occur on ChromeOS without button presses -- where the volume from the device does not match the OS volume. This sometimes means the sound turns off entirely or gets really loud in the middle of a meeting.
5. If you use both the microphone button on the device and the one in the browser in ChromeOS, things get out of sync, and no one can hear you. Never had this happen in Windows.
I definitely recommend it if you are on Windows and Mac primarily. If you are on ChromeOS, be prepared for some hiccups, but it is quite functional. I switch between devices on an almost daily basis, and it handles that well.
How to make it perfect:
1. Ethernet port
2. A microphone better for more than just speech (such as music lessons)
3. Fewer bugs in the ChromeOS integration, and add "join meeting" support
4. Allow pairing bluetooth mice directly to the dock, instead of to a computer. Also, ideally build in both other common types of Logitech dongle (unifying receiver and Logi Bolt).
5. Allow pairing arbitrary bluetooth headsets directly to the dock, instead of only supporting Logitech headphones.

No ethernet port…why not???
on September 7, 2022

It doesn’t have an Ethernet port, which is standard for every other docking station I’ve used. That is a big miss for an otherwise great device from a company that I’ve trusted for nearly 2 decades to always deliver the best peripherals.
Sadly, I had to buy an ugly dongle to resolve this issue and this undermines the “clean look” that I was hoping to achieve with the docking station.
