Quiet operation

I purchased this model to replace a 40 year old refrigerator. I bought it online so couldn't tell that the coils are in the back covered by a large rack. This looks terrible as unit cannot be placed flush with wall and I do worry about the safety of the coils. Two of three door shelves hold nothing taller than a can of soda or cup of yogurt. Crispers are practically on the floor so there is lots of bending. And the gaskets are problematic. If you open the freezer door you sometimes have to wait a few moments before opening the refrigerator door as it locks up. I have also found the refrigerator door open long after I closed it because the gaskets didn't catch. But as advertised it is quiet, really quiet! For me living in a small space this has been a great feature. I initially wanted to return this unit but with reservations I decided to keep it. The very quiet operation was the deciding factor

Runs great and keeps things cold.

The refrigerator works great.The only thing I will say is that the shelving is not very adaptable to size and I have a problem getting a lot of things into the space available.Great for a single person who does not cook much. It does keep things cold which helps me maintain the food longer.

This is an excellent "second" refrigerator for the money. Plenty of space for all my extras or for party platters. Freezer is large enough for two shelves not just one.Whirlpool is a company I can trust for quality and value.

I bought this a month ago for our office. It is perfect!! Lots of room for everybody's lunch.Black hides a lot of fingerprints.
