Well worth the money

Extremely bulky and heavy. Had to remove the 2 large batteries before could lift it. It does the job of protecting the computer very well. It has plenty of excess capacity and will accept additional plug-ins. It is well worth the money.

It just works!

I purchased the predecessor to this unit some 14 years ago and, thanks to the electric company monkeying around with my power whilst they swapped out a meter, they finally blew it up (alarm, no functionality, etc.), otherwise I would have never changed.
I called APC, told them of my problem and the condition of my old UPS (defunct) and they promptly offered an upgrade to the present unit. I made the order, it arrived nicely boxed (on a pallet no less!). I opened it up, plugged in the batteries, turned it on, waited a few hours for the batteries to charge and have completely forgotten about it since then - it just *works*. Every now and again, it will signal that it's performing a self test but otherwise it just sits there quietly humming along and keeping all my systems safe (the old one gave up the ghost doing the same thing - it was destroyed but none of my very expensive computers were affected).
In short, I'm a happy customer - again!

Nice sized unit. Supports a couple of 2U servers and some network units while still having some backup runtime on the batteries. Unit gets beaten on daily by auto repair shop
Any bigger and you might need special wiring.
Good for a larger outfit that has greater IT needs, without going crazy.

Good quality UPS

This is my second one of these - they work as expected. With two identical units both having network management cards, I have configured them as redundant - one power supply from the servers goes to one SMT2200, and the other goes to the other one. PowerChute Network Shutdown will then delay shutting down the servers until it gets shutdown requests from both UPSs. This is only a few seconds of configuration to get a great redundant system - but NOTE that both UPSs need to be the same model, and the network management cards need the same firmware. This feature alone makes it worth choosing a Smart-UPS model that supports it.
