A Nostalgic Ride

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a father who was a child in the 80’s during the rise of Transformers, introducing my child to the same toys has been fun. The Transformers Generations Legacy Series Leader G2 Universe Laser Optimus Prime was not only entertaining for the kids to play with, but I enjoyed it, as well. I found myself feeling nostalgic while figuring out how the toy transforms. The attention to detail in both robot and vehicle modes captures the essence of Optimus Prime. The toy does come with a thorough instruction manual, yet we found it more enjoyable to explore the toy, figuring out how to make the transformations from robot to vehicle and back on our own. The sturdy construction of the toy ensures that the figure can withstand even the most epic of battles, even as it has been launched across the room on multiple occasions. This makes it suitable for both play and display purposes, although I did find that some pieces came apart and were a little difficult to click back together This collectible would be great out-of-the-box for play or displayed on a shelf, as the packaging is filled with colorful graphics.

Awesome toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted this to keep at my house for friend’s with children. My boys did play with these when they were young and loved them. This guy was well made and the kids have loved playing with him. The kids have been around the age of 9 or 10 and it’s kept them busy. Seems like it will last a while.

Complex directions for play, but nostalgia is real

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely brought back memories for my husband and I as 80s/90s kids. The directions for transforming seemed pretty complex though for a toy. Our 7-year old son liked to play with it though and was able to move/change some of the parts without help/directions. One drawback is that in “truck” form, the wheels don’t move very well.

Not made as good quality as they use to

Great Action Figure Optimus Prime

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This action figure Optimus Prime is really cool. My kids loved it and had a lot of fun playing with it. It converts from robot to truck and includes axe, sword and blaster. Truck opens up into a battle station. The transformation was easy for my 9 year old but a little complex for a 6 year old. The quality of this action figure is very good. The design and colors are nice. It is a fun toy to play with and add to your transformers collection.
