Well built and comfortable chair but not great ergonomically

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Decided I needed a new desk chair and really wanted one with arms. The chair came quickly. Assembly was pretty easy but definitely needed two people for a few parts of it. The instructions were decent. Not sure why the fabric components have zippers. The back part is stitched down so you couldn’t remove it anyhow. The zippers are installed upside down. I sew so this was obvious. There is no reference to them in the literature or instructions? Pros: well built and solid. Assembly pretty straightforward. Cons: arms are not high enough to serve the intended purpose of arm support during typing or computer work. So they look nice but functionally they fail. Also chair does not come up high enough for me to comfortably reach my keyboard. I still need a three inch cushion on the seat. Overall I would say if you are shorter in stature (I’m 5-3) I would not recommend this chair for computer work. The seat doesn’t rise high enough and the arms are much too low to give any arm support. It’s nicely built and attractive but certainly not ergonomically sound.

Great chair -- perfect for our needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 15-year-old son was able to put this chair together with just a little help from his dad, which was awesome. It's super comfortable and solid. We were pleasantly surprised by the option to lean back and lock the chair in various positions, as well as raise and lower it easily. This desk is in a corner of our living room and so I appreciate that it doesn't have a super technical look, but blends in with the furniture. We purchased the navy velvet.

Way too short, even if you're petite

I am 5' 2" and cannot get an adequate set-up with my desk given how short the chair is and the fact that it doesn't go any higher. Both my husband and I ordered one of these and he is 6ft and is struggling with it just like me. Beware, I would not recommend.
