Great for phone, Barely works on laptops (<2018)

I'd prefer to give this product a 3.5. Product is amazing for your phone however if you try to use them on an older laptop or bluetooth device due to some bluetooth protocols not being met, it will NOT work. The audio will be choppy and JBL has yet to say anything about this issue or provide a driver to download on Windows 11. I've had these headphones for about 6 months and thats really my biggest problem, it doesn't work on my Acer Aspire 5 in the slightest unless i put it on hands free mode which then makes the audio quality incredibly poor.

Inconsistent Charging and Poor Design
on December 15, 2024

The JBL Tune Flex earbuds are frustrating. Sometimes, only one bud charges while the other doesn't, which is disappointing. It's especially annoying when you're ready to use them, and one bud is completely out of battery. The charging mechanism is poorly designed—it requires a fixed position, and even when I insert the earbuds correctly, they often fail to make proper contact to charge. This kind of inconsistency is unacceptable.

Thanks for your feedback. With our JBL Vibe Flex, charging issues are frequently caused by foreign matter on the metal charging contacts. This can include sweat, grease, dust, etc. You may click on the link below for detailed online instructions on how to clean the contact points of the earbuds. If the issue remains, please contact us.

good sound quality and no connectivity issues, but the left earbud doesnt have the same volume as my right. the speaker presses into my ear and blocks the noise, and i have to contort it into a specific position in my ear to properly hear my music/sound. otherwise fine.

Thanks for your feedback. In order for our JBL Vibe Flex to give you the best audio response, you must create a tight seal within your ear canal. First, angle the ear tip slightly downward to make it easier to insert into your ear canal, then gently twist the earbud to fit it securely into the shape of your ear. Next, continue twisting the earbud into your ear canal to achieve the best seal and secure fit.

If you have accomplished a tight seal, but still feel that the volume is imbalanced, try to clean the ear tips as dust, debris, and dirt may be blocking the ear tip screen. Please click on the link below for detailed instructions on how to clean your earbuds. For further assistance, please contact us.

Excellent sound. Phenomenal bass. I’ve owned nothing but Apple AirPods until I decided to switch and try these… I’m so glad I did. The sound isn’t even comparable. These have all the same features as AirPods. The only thing I regret is not switching sooner.

Avoid at all costs

One star for fit. That's the only good thing about these. Complete waste of money and time. I have not gotten one use - meaning not one minute - out of these without a disruption - namely connectivity issues. Sound shifts from one bud to the other or cuts out completely, works for 5 seconds, cuts out again. Check for interference, they say! Reset the bluetooth connection, they say! None of it makes a difference. JBL used to make high quality stuff. What happened?!

Thanks for your feedback. Bluetooth will perform well for up to 30 feet. However, walls, obstacles, and other wireless devices can impede that 30-foot range. If it works well at 10 feet or less, it is likely that there is something interfering with your wireless Bluetooth signal, causing these dropouts. Try to connect your JBL Vibe Flex to a different device (phone/tablet/music player) to see if it fixes the problem. Next is reset, with both earbuds on, and not charging, tap two times and hold the button on the third tap for more than 5 seconds. You may need to 'forget' the headphones in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet in order to pair it again. If the issue remains, please contact us for further assistance.
