Interactive, but Difficult to Launch Cars

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of those toys that there’s always something new to discover. The eyes on the T-rex spin, as does the Hot Wheels sign on the center. It does take some pressure to launch the car since it’s just a matter of hitting the blue lever. For my child, it was really difficult to get the car to make it up the initial ramp, which frustrated him. He did enjoy watching others launch the cars, though. I would've liked there to have been a different mechanism that more reliability launched the cars. We couldn’t figure out a pattern to what direction the cars would come out, which made it a little more fun than some of his other sets where it’s just launch and relaunch over and over.
The car that comes with it has a sharp transparent red body with gold windows. One of the things I appreciated about the sample car was that it gave us a chance to go through our box of Hot Wheels to see what other cars have similar bodies and so know what will maneuver best through the track. We had several cars like this one, so it gave us some choices during continuing play.
A word of caution: I made the mistake of letting my 4-year-old find this box before I had a chance to set it up. The packaging is eye-catching, but the set-up is complex. There are over a dozen steps. It took me roughly 10-15 minutes to get it all put together and ensure it was working right. However, the pieces snapped together pretty cleanly, and assembling it was generally intuitive.
The size of the track set is perfect. It’s compact enough to fit on a side table and doesn’t take much space on a shelf to store it, which meant we did not need to break it down like some other Hot Wheels track sets. This would be the perfect gift for a child who is interested in Hot Wheels track sets but for a family who does not have a lot of space: think condo or apartment living.

Great Hot Wheels Set!

It was easy to set up and offers a level of challenge that entertained even the adults! The kids loved that you never knew where the car would come out, and even that the eyes changed!

Good but not the best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m usually a big fan of the sets and my son loves them. But this one was a little disappointing. Like most sets it’s easy and quick to put together, looks great and is a quality built.
This one has a couple minor flaws. First is the launcher, I don’t know if I’m doing it wrong but I find the “smash” launchers to be less reliable than the rubber band/push button style ones. If you hit it too hard the car can go flying off the track entirely, too light and it doesn’t make it around the loop. This style also limits the cars that can be used.
The second problem is when everything goes good and you knock the T-Rex down it flips the whole set on its face. Not a huge issue but it’s taken a few tumbles off the table while playing with it.
Despite those flaws, my son still plays with it constantly and loves making the T-Tex fall.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has had hours of fun with this track. It was so easy to put together and had held up great against his rough boy play. This is something that’s great for individual or share play. If your kid likes Dino’s I would highly recommend this.

Dino Chomping Fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The T-Rex Blaze Battle is a fun Hot Wheels set. My dinosaur enthusiast loves it. I was skeptical if it would work since the ramp is so steep, but if you hit it hard enough with your fist, as shown in the direction booklet, it does work. At the end the whole dinosaur tips forward like it’s eating the track. One lever also makes the dinosaur’s eyes spin. As a stand alone item it is fun, but it is a great addition to our Hot Wheels city. My son loved the shiny red car that comes with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My four year old son loves playing with his He likes it when t Hot Wheels T-Rex Battle playset.he dino's eyes spin and his teeth get knocked out, when the car is launched hard enough through the track. He also likes it when the dino eats the car and poops it out, but his favorite part is when the dino gets knocked out and falls foward. One dislike is the launching system. In order for him to launch the car through the whole track he has to hit the launching system hard enough. Sometimes it takes him many tries before successfully launches the car. Overall I recommend this T-Rex Blaze Battle Playset, It's fun, the colors are bright and beautiful and its easy to assemble.

Fun little dino

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a nice little set on its own. It was pretty simple to put together because it all snaps together and the boom is detailed. It did take a few minutes of adult work. It isn't huge and needs no batteries which is always a plus. It feels very sturdy too but not too heavy.
We did have to use specific Hot Wheel cars because some of ours where too big or just don't manage to get through the whole spiral.
It also takes a fair bit of power to launch the cars fast enough for them to get through, my kiddo uses his foot to launch them (because he usually can't get enough power with his hand) which I'm hoping doesn't break the launcher. Even i have to slam down more than I'd expect.

It's neat that the eyes spin to different eyes and kiddo finds it hilarious when the car gets eaten and "pooped" out.
I think its neat that it's got those 3 exit points so there's more variety. The forward movement of the dino eating the car if it goes out the front is neat. He just pushes back up so my kiddo can reset it on his own.
Overall, kiddo likes the toy I just wish it was easier to consistently launch the cars.

Great toy for a 5 year old!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a cool Hot Wheel playset! My son has been playing with this non stop! It was so easy to put together based on the instructions and did not have a lot of pieces and stickers. It is very easy to launch the cars by my 5 year old. The dinosaur has two different routes that will make the dinosaur fall over or stay standing. Great toy!
