Fantastic Serger!

I have the found the Brother Overlock 1034D Serger to be easy to thread and use. It is such a time saver and finishes and trims seams beautifully in a snap. I love it!!!!

This machine is so smart from the easy threading, to the storage of the spreader finger, to my absolute favorite thing about this machine…the presser foot release is on the left!! My other brand machine was so annoying with this release on the right. I also really liked the extra feet and how the manuals showed you how to use them. I never knew I could do so much with just my serger!

2 Years ago, I purchased this Serger and have used it extensively. I had no trouble learning to use this. I have used this for gathering, securing the edges of baby quilts for easier finishing and for sewing lots of fleece garments as gifts. I could not be happier! Would buy it again!

Love my serger

I purchased my Brother 1034D online and I have not regretted it one bit. In looking for a serger I wanted one that was easy to use and would be able to serge seams. I was pleasantly suprised that it did more than that. It can gather and piping. I highly recommend this serger. It is easy to thread too. I was concerned about that too.

My best machine EVER!

I just puchased my 1034D serger 3 weeks ago and just finished making Roman Shades for my kitchen. How wonderful it was to use this serger. Previously I had another companies serger and just to thread that machine was a nightmare! The 1034D is a dreamboat when it comes to threading. I takes me less than a minute. Brother has put a lot of thought into this machine and in doing that, made this machine so very easy to use. I finished the shades in less than a week and they look great. If I had not purchased this 1034D and had used my other serger - well, I would never dream of doing Roman Shades and if I did, it would have taken me weeks to complete. Kudos to Brother for making a GREAT machine that is easy and fun to use.

This serger is amazing

I own a Brother Innovis 1500D and this 1034D serger and I have to say I had the machine approximately 6 months and was afraid to take the cover off it. Well, I sat down and watched some videos how to thread it on Youtube and wala, I was amazed at this little machine! Its fast, it cuts and sews at the same time and I have been experiencing with some varying width stitches. I love it. I cant say enough about it.

easy to use

I had always thought sergers were too complicated. I bought my machine used from a local dealer and got two one-hour free lessons included. The threading is very easy, just follow the color guidelines. With the lessons, and the manual, I have been able to successfully learn to use the serger. So far I use it to finish seams on garments and drapes. but plan to try some of the other options.

Love 1034D 3/4 Thread Serger

I have been sewing for 40 years and had previously been an 'Absolutely Love' faithful customer of another sewing machine company which in my estimation has wonderful machines. But my financial situation has changed over the years and I cannot afford some things like I once could. I began looking at Brother machines because of the reasonable cost. To my surprise, Brother machines have far surpassed my expectations so much that I don't dream of the previous machines anymore! I purchased the 1034D 3/4 Thread Serger not quite a year ago and absolutely LOVE it! It is a powerhouse of a machine yet can handle all of the delicate fabrics I challenge it to sew. That's a HUGE deal to me! I have opened a Business teaching kids and ladies how to sew and now use nothing but Brother machines. I have since purchased 3 additional sewing machines for students and have also recently purchased a lower model embroidery machine and may have to look at more if my business keeps growing. And I've got to say... NONE of them have disappointed me! My serger does so much more than my old favorite serger; runs twice as fast and has a 3/4 thread option along with feet options. Go Brother.... you've come a long way since my first Brother almost 40 years ago, which by the way was my very first machine! I have come back to my first love in sewing machines!
