this is my 1st serger...i have had it for several years...a little scared of it to begin with..but i gave in and i love it..so easy...my hardest thing was the threading...but i didnt read the manual either...since i know the proper way i have had no issues...if this one quits today i will purchase another

I purchased it because of the free arm and the automatic thread feature. I also have a Brother Quatro 6000 D which sold me on the Brother name for a serger.

Easy to use and does a great job. I don't like the free floating thread dials as they don't stay where I want them when moving the machine for class. That's the only complaint I have.

Sews ok. Had a more professional model for 30 years. Finally wore it out. Don't use one a lot now so, this will be ok. It's lighter weight than other one.

My first serger

Although I have been sewing for over 40 years, this is my first ever experience with a serger. The instructions are clear and easy to read. I have used it a couple times and am very pleased. I have much to learn yet, and can't wait to become an avid serger! I have always had Brother products. I trust the brand. They are both affordable and reliable.

Love my Brother serger!

I purchased my Brother 1034D on Amazon in summer 2017. It sat there, intimidating me for a few months before I got the guts to use it. Now I don't know what I was waiting for. It came threaded, so I got the hang of it by just turning it on and doing some samples. I think I was nervous about rethreading it with new cones of a neutral color, but if you just follow the threading instructions and the color coding it is totally doable. It worked the first time and then I was serging again immediately. I can make knit clothing now that looks so professional!

Brother 1034D Serger

I used my new Brother 1034D Serger to stitch a 72" x 60" double-fleece blanket together for my niece. I know it wasn't a very complicated project, but I was dying to try it out. I love how easy it is to use. It's easy to thread (I followed the directions on the included video) and it runs really smoothly. I can't wait to make another project, but I'm still trying to figure out what to make next!
