Pretty good little machine

I had a singer serger years ago and it was pretty simple to use. This machine is pretty easy and works well. I have found you cant just attach a new color of thread with a small knot to rethread with a new color. gotta rethread the entire machine and its a bit of a pain in the rear. my old machine also allowed for lowering the cutting blade this one is up and cant be taken down easily. but overall I am very pleased with my brother 1034D. would recommend to others shopping for a good serger.

I love this serger! It is easier to thread than I thought. It takes a bit of time to figure out the tension you need for your various projects, but with a scrap piece of fabric, it's fun to play around with it. It works great. It's lighter than I thought which is a big plus since I do not have a set spot for it, therefore have to move it each time I need it. It does many different stitches. I highly recommend this. Great price too.

as a beginner this serger is a great start. after learning how to thread, and you will, it is as easy as a sewing machine. im still learning how to use it as I just straight stitch but as will be trying knits. brothers as videos that help with start up. many instruction videos out there and this is the most popular serger I see on the web. reasonable price and can graduate to other sergers if you feel the need, but this should be enough.

I quickly went through the the video that came with the Serger, and in 30 minutes I was sewing With my new serger.
I zipped out a few winter hats in just minutes!
I'll admit that I haven't used all the features yet, but I was able to rethread easily.

In the 1980's had expensive serger and had so much trouble with it I finally gave it to goodwill. Bought the Brother 1034D and I'm in love. So easy to use and the stitch qualituy is great, easy to thjread!! Love it.

I bought this serger because of the great reviews on it. This is my first one and I am very happy with all that it does. It is very easy to thread. All of my seams look great now. I wish I had bought one years ago. It would have saved me many hours in getting a project done. I look forward to many years of sewing with it.

Great Serger

This is a very easy machine to use. Threading seems intimidating but once you do it a couple of times it's stress-free. It’s great being able to speed through making items. I purchased two more, one for my daughter and another for my daughter-in-law for their home business. I also recommended it to my sister and she bought it and loves it too.
