Machine breaks threads very easy. You can't complete a project without having to worry about the breaking threads and trying to restart in the position the breakage occurs.
After my previous serger died, I thought I could do without a serger. After my friend purchased her Brother 1034D serger, I decided to buy one also. I have been so pleased with it. I feel good about sewing clothes again since the inside looks as good as the outside. Thanks for giving me back my joy in sewing.

Pleasant surprise how easy it was to thread and use it right a way. I have been sewing a lot but this little simple machine sure beats it all.I only wish that the instruction video on line could be made into a larger picture
This machine made putting a T-shirt quilt top together easy. I we t on U-tub for threading institutions and got it right the first time. I'm looking forward to trying this machine on a regular quilt top.
I loved mine so much that I wanted my cousin to have one. So I ordered her one yesterday. She lost her house to a fire and did not like the serger she replaced hers with, so returned it and had not replaced it yet. I decided to let her try mine. She was going to get her one, but I wanted to bless her with one!
I love this serger. After playing around with the threading, I finally got it right. The DVD that came with it was pretty outdated. It was hard to see the threading. I did find a good video on YouTube. I had an old serger that I had since 1986. This brother is so much better. I love the differential feed. That is one of the reasons that I bought this machine.
I love this little machine! I have a sewing machine and an embroidery machine and thought what do I really need this serger for, but I have to say I'm impressed with how much I actually use it! I does not replace my sewing machine, but I use it for way more than I thought I would. I've used it to make pillows, tablecloth and clothes. I LOVE IT!
I still consider myself to be a beginning sewist, but buying this serger has made a huge difference in my ability to confidently make clothing with either machine. The instructions are decent (could be more clear, but there are tons of online resources, particularly YouTube videos and a Facebook forum dedicated to this specific machine, to answer any questions you may have). Great choice for beginners, and probably experienced sergers as well!
