Before purchasing the Brother 1034D serger I had never used one. I had no problems following the instructions to thread the machine and change the stitch. So far I'm very pleased with it. I have great results on straight seams, but am having some difficulty on curves. I think I just need more practice using it. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I would say my sewing skills are just average and I've still had great results when I've used it.

I found this NEW serger at a store that sells returns and overstocks, and once I learned how to thread it, and put new needles in it, it has worked and sewn perfectly ever since. I am happy with this purchase, initially I had to confer with a customer service rep who was very helpful, and a few days later I ordered a part and it was received promptly and in good order. I am Happy, Happy, Happy!

SEW Easy!!!

This machine is easier to thread than my regular machine. I was full of apprehension when I sat down with my machine and the instruction book. In less than a half an hour I had my machine threaded and was sewing. I love the seam trimming knife and the fact that I can put it out of the way when sewing in tight spots. This machine made me fall in again with sewing. I wish I hadn't already made my bedroom linens because it would be so much more fun with this machine
