I love my serger machine. It finishes seams beautifully and does exactly what I needed. The feature that allows you to serge without cutting is a good addition. I would highly recommend this machine
I haven't used my serger very often but I do love this machine. And two of the things I like the best are the threading diagrams on the machine and the very well-written instruction manual.
This Machine does exactly what it was designed to do.Once I made an a tension adjustment on the looper's it produces a perfect serge hem. I use it primarily to hem new fabric to keep it from fraying when washing. It is much faster than sewing a hem with a regular sewing machine and it saves wear and tare on my Viking. I think it was a good investment with out breaking the bank.I would have given it five stars if the owners manual had been better.
I am a beginner sewer, I mainly do quilting. Since having grandkids I have begun to sew. The 1034d has made my sewing experience so much nice being able to have a more professional looking finish to mt items and it is also great for quilting too. After getting the threadinding of it down it is very easy to use and have had no problems with it. Would recommend it for any beginner or even advanced sewers.
My new serger makes quick work of finishing seams. I wish the foot pedal allowed me to apply as little pressure( and thus serge more slowly) than it does. As it is, it feel like I'm going 90 miles an hour or standing still.
