Sews a perfectly flat seam. Very easy to set up and use, especially with the DVD videos. Learned some new ideas to use the machine. The 4 star rating is only because the machine is quite noisy. The machine seems to be a good quality machine for the price.

After my first serger (another brand) became increasingly impossible to use, I purchased the Brother based on reviews. I LOVE this machine! It works like a dream and is really easy to use and maintain.

Great Little Serger!

I was frankly unsure as to whether this serger would meet my need but as it turns out this is a wonderful serger for beginners. It's quite easy to use and the tutorials provided in CD form were very helpful. My biggest concern was the "all dreaded" threading. However, (I know that this may sound crazy to many, but...) I actually caught on to the threading quite easily and actually LOVE threading this serger!!! Best decision made (wished I had purchased one years ago) and best of all, the price was right!

I am a newbie and with the cd's that came with the machine and the online help, and even facebook users groups... this is turning out to be one of the best choices I have ever made. Its a sweet running and very easy to learn... once I got past my fear of the unknown. Great Machine!!

As an avid seamstress, I absolutely love how this machine performs! The stitching is perfectly formed and the machine settings are easily adaptable to the type of material and stitching needed. I would highly recommend this product.

I loved mine so much that I wanted my cousin to have one. So I ordered her one yesterday. She lost her house to a fire and did not like the serger she replaced hers with, so returned it and had not replaced it yet. I decided to let her try mine. She was going to get her one, but I wanted to bless her with one!

We purchased 3 of these sergers for our sewing/training center. So, they are being used by individuals who have never sewn or used a serger. I feel that they are very easy to use and very easy to understand. I did add labels tot the width, length & deferential dials to make it easier to remember.
I would recommend this to a friend!
