Great price. I used some YouTube videos to help myself learn to thread it, and it's fairly easy to do with that help. I haven't used it that much yet...Maybe 4 times, but I love it!

Just Right for a Beginner!

I've never used a serger before, but with this Brother 1034D I wasn't intimidated. I learned how to work with it quickly. And, it a good quality machine.

This is a great machine for the money. It sews great! My only complaint is that it is too loud. I would expect a little better noise control from a Brother product. However, I would still buy it again for the over all value.

Great Machine!

I originally had a 929D and when it wore out and the authorized dealer wanted more to fix it than the cost of a new one, I decided to buy the 1034D (basically the same machine). I use it often as I sew things to sell at craft shows. I convert a lot of regular pattern to the serger, and it saves me a lot of time. I love it.

Easy to use serger

I have never used a serger. I had heard they were hard to thread. Not so with the 1034D. I watched the CD that came with my serger and threaded easily. I love the speed and accuracy. Looking forward to learning all the different things it can do.

Great addition to my sewing tools

I am very pleased with this Serger. The projects look much more professional than with the regular sewing machine zig-zag. I believe that the light weight fabric pieces will last longer with the finished edges using a serger. I still need to learn to use the Serger to it's full potential and I am excited to see what else it can do.
