I'm still learning how to use, I would strongly recommend making NEW teaching videos...these are really old. Also need discs that will work on Apple computers

This is the first serger I've owned and I am pleased with how it makes my clothes look, more professional!. The only complaint I have is that the thread that came with kept breaking, not sure what kind of thread it was since there is no label. Since I read it runs through thread quickly, I wanted to use the provided thread up before I put on more expensive thread. Think this may have been a mistake... All in all, it is a good little machine, especially for my first one and the price was great!
I would recommend this to a friend!

To begin with it took me a bit to figure out the threading of the serger. Once that was sorted out, I quickly made two garments. Wow! I am pleased with the purchase and have plans for many more garments.

Brother 1034D Serger

I used my new Brother 1034D Serger to stitch a 72" x 60" double-fleece blanket together for my niece. I know it wasn't a very complicated project, but I was dying to try it out. I love how easy it is to use. It's easy to thread (I followed the directions on the included video) and it runs really smoothly. I can't wait to make another project, but I'm still trying to figure out what to make next!

I have been sewing and embroidering for over 50 years and I have just recently added the 1034D Serger, what a difference it has made in my finishing of garments. I wish I had it long ago. It is easy to thread, small enough to fit on my cutting table when I need to serge something, yet big enough to do the job. I was a little apprehensive at first but once I took the leap to use it, it is great and saves me so much time. I would recommend this Serger to anyone who asks me. In fact, I would recommend any Brother product.
