The 1034D has taken my sewing to another level!

I often heard my aunt say she was borrowing a friends serger in order to finish a sewing project. Then I noticed many sewers owned one so after doing a lot of research I decided to purchase the Brother 1034D. Yes, the machine was intimidating at first and I broke 2 needles trying to learn how to use it AND I jammed the thread. BUT after carefully following directions I have mastered properly threading the machine. I don't have any complaints about this machine. The price was great and thanks to YouTube and Brother support any operator errors have been quickly corrected.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A 1034d serger is an excellent machine. I use it in addition to my sewing machine because it makes neater seams and alleviates excess threading on raveling fabric.

The 1st serger I've ever owned...bought because of ratings and reviews. I'm so excited and having so much fun creating beautiful items. I highly recommend this machine.

Learned it in no time!

This machine is super easy to use. I had a rush project to get done for a client presentation and I had to learn this machine in less than a week. I used a beginner craftsy class and the manual and just went for it and the results were super cute. I later added a grommet and put them on a large ring for display in the store. Customers could then flip through and pick a desired style.

There is a learning curve, but don't give up...it's easy once I got the hang of it. Best advise I can give is to label all of the knobs..I took sticky notes to do this..made it so much easier to get around. Easy to thread the machine once you learn how. I was making things more complicated than they needed to be, it's simple once you get through it.. and seriously if I can do it you can to.

Easy to use and does a great job. I don't like the free floating thread dials as they don't stay where I want them when moving the machine for class. That's the only complaint I have.
