Great Purchase

Very happy to have this serger. Took a bit to get the threading down, but now am good to go. Machine seems to be a good machine. Fairly easy to use. Still practicing on things that I can do with it.

I've used my serger three times, quite successfully. I still have a lot to learn. I'm very nervous about trying the other stitches where adjusting tension is necessary. However, my first experiences were smooth and easy.
My one complaint had to do with the paperwork that came with my machine offering a free embroidery design. Since I have an embroidery machine, I was excited. However, it wouldn't allow me to download the design unless I had a Brother Embroidery Machine.

I love this serger! It is easier to thread than I thought. It takes a bit of time to figure out the tension you need for your various projects, but with a scrap piece of fabric, it's fun to play around with it. It works great. It's lighter than I thought which is a big plus since I do not have a set spot for it, therefore have to move it each time I need it. It does many different stitches. I highly recommend this. Great price too.

This is a great machine. When I was researching sergers, the one thing that kept popping up was threading the machine. Things like "it will take time to learn" or "the hardest thing is threading the machine". I worried that this may not be the correct machine for me and maybe I should stick to my sewing machine. Boy am I glad I ignored my inner voice. To me threading is a snap and sewing is even easier. I love it.

the machine is exactly as advertised. The instructions via CD and/or the book are not user friendly or clear. I resorted to UTube to learn to thread and use the serger.

I had been wanting a serger for quite some time and was a bit intimidated by how complicated a serger might be to use. After reading reviews I thought I might be able to learn how to use it fairly easily. Brother didn't disappoint. I was able to use it right out of the box. I'm confident that I will learn the ins and outs of this machine as quickly as the threading and use instructions are very clear.
