Great value!

This is my first serger and I think it is pretty easy to use. So far I have only used it for my finishing overlock stitches and find it leaves a beautiful finish seam.I would highly recommend for a first time user as myself.

Pressure Foot Shaft Assembly

I love everything about my 1034D, but had an issue finding the Pressure Foot Shaft Assembly part applicable to my serial no. I finally figured out the issue. At one point the body on the 1034D was shortened, so the part I ordered was shorter in length and would not fit my machine. It turns out, I needed the longer shaft and was able to find one myself at a sewing machine repair center in West Palm Beach, FL (Not Brother). It is now in service with a local business man in my area. Can't wait to finally use it. I wish the plastic tip at the end of the shaft assembly was not plastic and was metal and welded to the shaft, would save alot of headaches.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So easy to operate. Stitches are alway uniform and easy to thread. Much easier than the the one I bought years ago.

Comes already set up and threaded. Easy to thread and use. CD instruction is rubbish. Find how to use on you tube

I bought this new 3 days ago. I wanted this so bad but there are concerning issues and I have to return it. The hand wheel is really hard to turn, like it is jammed. When threading, it sounds terrible, the very first guide sounds like it will shred the thread (it doesn't though). It sews perfectly, that's why I am confused. Not my first serger so I know this is not right. Sad. I still think this machine is great, I just think I received a troubled one, it happens.

I was very disappointed in this machine. Jammed up easily. Just did not perform as expected.

This is my first serger, and I'm hoping to have it for a long time. It's easy to thread, it works well, and it's fun. I was really a little scared of sergers, and now I wonder how I sewed without it. It's a great compliment to my sewing room. Knits and fussy fabrics are easier to work with now, and finishing seams is a breeze. I'm in my garments much quicker and they're more professional looking. The ability to do decorative threads and ribbon is also fun for home décor and crafting projects in addition to garments. I recommend a class to get you up and sewing faster. There are some great ones online.
