Can’t install umbrella properly

After Following the construction instructions, I found that a standard patio umbrella couldn’t fit properly in the table set.
The pole went through the table’s hole but couldn’t reach the ground because of a piece of wood that joined the bracing boards.
Is there a different way to build it which allows the umbrella to insert properly?

I agree with other reviewers about the size of the table--could be a smidge larger but I think it's perfect and very comfortable. It's made my deck look lovely and classy.

I put it together myself, but it would be a lot easier and faster with two people! It’s a bit small. Six children might fit, but it’s more of a three person table....one person per seat. I’m 5’5”, so it’s perfect for me. I would recommend it.

I’m mostly happy with this table for the price. It’s smaller than I expected at about 36” in diameter. The wood seems soft but was easy enough to assemble. If it was a little larger and sturdier I would have given it 5 stars.

The table can hold six, if the plates are small. The 500-lb per bench limit means a heavier adult can also use the table. It seems solidly built. I expect it will last for years.
