The main reasons for choosing this model were the 12 outlets and the digital display. Yeah, who uses 12 outlets? Not me. But it sure leaves me plenty of room to plug in all of the bricks that I need. And with the digital display, I now know how much power my system is using at any given time. And I know approximately how long my system will run during my next outage. Oh yeah, it'll go out again this summer and I know I'll have time to save everything and shut everything down.

When my Tripp lite UPS needed to be replaced after many years of service I thought I would save a few bucks and get another brand which was cheaper. Needless to say it didn't function as it should and ended up with my computer going down and no backup kicking in to give me time to shut it down properly. So I returned it and got this Tripp lite which is exactly what I should have done in the first place. I love the new LCD functions showing me how much battery is left and how long I can keep the devices running on battery function. Live and learn. Only Tripp lite for me from now on.

We bought 2 items, one for our satellite TV receiver so we would not miss recordings and the other for our internet connection router so we could continue receiving the internet signal if we had a power outage. Both serve as electrical spark protection connectors. Excellent bang for the buck!

Work uses TrippLite battery back ups for our workstations and so I have been buying TrippLite over the competitor's products. So far so good. The only thing that is a minus is that the battery is not user replaceable (I think). Then again, when the battery went bad on my other UPS after 4 or 5 years, the battery cost was nearly the cost of a replacement UPS, well, half, but no warranty on the UPS anymore. So, besides the landfill issue, why not replace the whole thing, especially if the warranty is of concern. The good stuff: good warranty (hopefully they honor the terms should it come to that), like the LCD read out (assuming that it is accurate), and plenty of outlets. The "ECO" mode is a nice touch should you be able to take advantage of the feature (if you are willing to have the outlets shut down after a prescribed time). So far, am satisfied.

When I sold my house in Tucson I had four eco series units and they never failed to protect my electronics. When I bought our condo in Colorado Springs my purchase of new eco units were at the top of my list. When you spend so much for your tv's, computers etc. the price of protection is minuscule! I cound not do without Tripp lite products, neither should you.

Power in Florida sucks!!! Brown-outs, surges, brief (1-3 second) outages, it's terrible. I have 2 of these--they cover all my computers (3), my big-screen TV, modems, routers, printers, everything. They work. The lights blink in the condo, but nothing else does. These are terrific for providing smooth, clean power. My electronics never notice or are affected by power blips.

My old UPS finally gave out on me, so after some research online, I ordered this one. I have only had it for about three weeks. Set-up was easy, and it is working fine. I'm glad to have reliable battery backup again.
