What happened to quality?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been fortunate to own numerous KitchenAid stand mixers over the past 40 years. I have given many away due to moves overseas that are still working beautifully. This is the second new KitchenAid in 8 weeks. We returned from Europe and had to purchase a US spec machine. The first one broke after two uses. This machine sounds horrible and doesn't seem to be made with the same sturdiness, and quality as the KitchenAid I had 9 years ago prior to relocating. While it looks great, has wonderful attachments, and possibilities, I am afraid this machine that I have had for a few weeks, won't make it through the holiday season.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used my new mixer twice now, and so far, I love it. I like to make my bread and the mixer does a great job. I gave my very first KitchenAid five quart stand mixer to my granddaughter, and from what she tells me, it's still doing a great job. (I bought that one back in the 1980's. I hope this one lasts just as long.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the size and power but wish I’d bought a tilt head like my old KitchenAid. Really am disappointed in lift stand.

I bought this mixer to make large batches of bread but there is no cookbook with the mixer, and I don't have time to research recipes to find one that fits this mixer. What is the maximum amount of flour will this mixer hold and how many loaves of bread can I make in this mixer?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been wanting one of these for years and finally got one for Christmas from my awesome husband. Love it- I use it all the time. The best part is the fact that it gets all the stuff in the bowl with the wide mixer attachment. Can’t wait to bread again!

If it doesn't have a DC motor, don't buy it, it's AC junk, loud and causes hearing damage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this lift stand mixer a month ago and it is a significant upgrade over my traditional 5 qt KitchenAid tilt head stand mixer. I highly recommend upgrading for those that bake often or often make pizza/bread dough.
