Wonderful upgrade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is such an upgrade from my decades old KitchenAid mixer! I can grind twice the amount of wheat berries in half the time and the machine barely gets warm. I absolutely love this KitchenAid mixer.

A great heavy-duty machine

I bought this particular bowl-lift stand mixer a few months ago to replace a cheap one I bought online.
Since then it has mixed a minimum of 4 lbs of bread dough every day with very few missed days. This equates to approximate 2 hours of constant mixing at low speed each day for the past 6 months - and not one glitch or hiccup.
It tends to get a bit warm on the motor and shaft housing - actually almost untouchable - but cools fairly quickly as the heat transfers through the housing and into the environment.
I rate this very high because it has taken on a sub-professional use that literally ruined the previous generic stand mixer I had, and continues to mix dough with no sign of giving up!

Love, love, love the mixer. This is my second KitchenAid stand mixer (my 30+ yr old 4.5 qt mixer is alive and well) because I wanted larger capacity...and boy does it deliver! Added plus that it comes with a 'feeder' and a paddle with scrapers on both sides!
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the fourth one i purchased in less than a month. The motor burned out within one minute of using the previous three.
To say I'm disapointed is an understatement.

i bought it to replace my 5 qt but, i find myself bringing out my 5 qt to use due to the fact the 7 qt doesn’t mix smaller batches very well, at all. Had it specified this i would have never purchased the 7 qt.
Needless to say , i will not recommend this to my fellow baking followers. I am strongly considering returning it.

I bought this for my Christmas present so I would be sure to get what I wanted. So far I have been very pleased with the product and how quiet it id compared to my previous unit. But I do have to admit that the previous unit is now 20 year with some pretty heavy use for cookies and cheesecakes.
I would recommend this to a friend!
