[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always been a bit of a skeptic when it comes to cordless vacuums but the Hoover Onepwr Emerge changed my mind! I'm still surprised just how much more I vacuum with this stick vac. I find myself grabbing it for quick little clean ups around the house. I have two chihuahuas who shed constantly and I've found that this vacuum is great for getting the hair up off the hard flooring. I used to constantly sweep but not so much anymore. I live in a 1,100sqft house that is about half carpet and half hard flooring and I've found that it works best on the hard floors. Its good for a quick little freshen up on carpets but by no means does it replace a full size standard upright vacuum. The power and suction just isn't the same. With that said I can do a quick clean of the entire house without the battery going dead but after about 20 minutes on high power it will die. Another thing that I really enjoy using on this vacuum is the different functions. I really like that I can change the power level with a quick push of the + or - button. I found that I can vacuum smaller entryway rugs without the vacuum completely sucking the rug up into the brush roll. Also it has the perfect profile for cleaning under furniture. I can clean under just about anything. Overall I think this a great cordless stick vac! I'm very impressed with it however I took away one star because I wish the battery lasted just a bit longer.

Vacuum worked fine for 6 months. Then the brush stopped working ,doesn't roll. Can't find a replacement brush on this website or anywhere online to even try and replace it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time buying a cordless vacuum. I have had it for about a month now and am very happy with it. I have 4 very young kids, a dog, and we live on a farm. It is used every single day. Sometimes more than once a day. The suction quality is good, not great. However, the convenience and ease of being able to quickly use this vacuum makes up for it in my opinion. It can be pulled out in minutes, is lightweight, compact to store, and has very good battery life. I use this vacuum on mostly hard floors. It does work better on hard floors than carpet. I was searching for a cordless vacuum that could do both floors but especially good for hard floors, so I am happy with it. You are also able to adjust the suction power which is helpful on different floors. The battery life is very good so far. I have a 2700 sq ft house and am usually able to do all of it on one full charge. I LOVE that this vacuum can stand on its own. That is not a feature in all cordless vacuums but was a feature I was specifically looking for. One negative thing that I have to say about this vacuum is that the buttons to detach the head and attachments do not operate very easily. I have a very hard time detaching them and often have to ask my husband for help. He even has a hard time with it. I would suggest Hoover goes back to the drawing board on that part of it, but I am otherwise very happy with the vacuum.

The light on the vacuum helps you see the dust and dirt on the floor. The extra battery is definitely a plus. We can clean our entire 2100 sq ft house with the vacuum without it dying. Love it!

Charged up nicely.The wheels rolls smoothly over carpet and large tile floors.Great for stairs.Easy to dump the canister. Easy for my 8 &10 yo to use. Wish the battery pack was attached to wall mount.

It won't clean my rugs. It spits out any pet hair. It does good with dirt and anything other than pet fur. I have 3 shedding dogs and 2 shedding cats. I'm highly disappointed in this product. I do love how it stands on its own though.
