Ever since the first fold came out, it had me interested. But seeing as it was a brand new technology. I was hesitant. This year, the pre-order sale came around my birthday, it popped up in front of me, I just knew I had to get it and I've fallen head over heels for the phone. My battery lasts about 2 days on average, even under pretty heavy usage. The big screen is stunning, although the aspect ratio leaves some room for wishing. Overall, I love this phone and wouldnt have wanted a different foldable.

This is an awesome phone. The only downside is that it is a little too small. If it were the size of the S24 Ultra when closed, it would be a 10/10. As is, the outside screen is a bit hard to read, and the keyboard is a bit too small for my fingers.

So Close Samsung

So close. So very very VERY close. I like the phone a lot, it's just missing out on a few things that is keeping me with my s24 Ultra which is still a fantastic phone itself...
Camera: I'm not a big picture person, but the few I take I do notice the difference between the two. For 50% more, they should share the upgraded hardware at minimum. This is very minor to me personally but I understand why it matters to others.
Battery: The smaller battery is killer. Does it last me a typical day yes, but without the 45w super fast charging that every so often saves me with the s24 Ultra it's not comparable. That needs to come to the folds.
Wireless Charging: Not sure why but it works 50/50 on my existing chargers, including my charger in my Sierra. It won't work at all. Not sure why but makes long drives a drain vs holding/getting a little battery back while streaming music or videos.
Pump Compatibility: This may not be on Samsung, this may solely be on the insulin pump company, but it doesn't offer mobile bolus support. None of the folds ever have. And there is no guarantee it ever will. To anyone reading this portion, if you have a Tandem, NONE of the folds/flips have ever offered this support and if it gets added later, there's no guarantee of it now... To a diabetic this is worse than the battery and charging.
The phone is pretty great otherwise. I wanted to like it, and I do. I want to keep it. But the battery concern, WITHOUT the 45w charging doesn't pass for me. Camera I can very easily look past. The pump support is extremely disappointing but I do not know where that blame lies. The battery and camera 100% need to be improved upon for the price. Samsung, please fix these things so I can come back for the 7 🙏 Great product. So very close to keeping it.
