I am 70 yr old person and an impulsive buyer of new products but i have never regretted having brought a product as much as the ring. It adds nothing to the data which your smart provides.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works great until it doesnt.

I purchased this ring for sleep tracking. I purchased mostly due to samsungs great trade in offers and no monthly payments like some other ring brands. I noticed at first it was a bit glitchy but the first update took care of any issues I had and added some features along the way. I ordered a size 14 my wife a size 10. I saw a huge difference in the battery capacity in both rings. The smaller size lasted about 4 days before having to recharge. The larger one about 6 days. Understandable due to the battery size differences. My wife's ring started randomly draining in less than 2 days at the 10 month mark. Then eventually at the 11th month it wouldn't last a single day. We reached out to Samsung support and at first they said we were over our 1 yr warranty period. Upon providing a reciept they assessed the ring and sent a replacement free of charge. The larger ring was still holding charge at around 6 days. When the ring hit the 13 month mark that dropped to 4 days. I am at the 15 month mark and I am down to 3 days of charge. I am not sure how much longer the ring will be usable. While I understand batteries degrade over time. The ring seems to go down hill around the 1 yr mark. Looking online this seems to be a well documented problem. Samsung should really extend the factory warranty to cover the abnormal battery deterioration and show that they stand behind their products and their customers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello there Henry,
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We value your feedback as we continue to improvement the functionality and performance of our product line. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which is similar to an extended warranty and an insurance package combined. It can provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ truly offers you the ultimate peace of mind when it comes to protecting your investment. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Please take a moment to review the resources linked below to help resolve what you've described to be experiencing with your device. If you would like any further assistance afterward or if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support. Thank you for being a staunch Samsung customer.

Battery issues

Better failure. I'm surprised to see this same comment from other users. I've used all Samsung products (except the VR headsets) which I was about to purchase. The experience with this ring has really been disappointing. The battery used to last a week and now last a few hours at best. This happened all at once and it of nowhere. Support has been as disappointing as everyone else has noticed.

Horrible Battery Problems
on May 29, 2026
Posted by: Kevn
Had a Samsung ring that lasted a little over a year before experiencing dramatic battery decline. Service options were limited and expensive. Went through all the troubleshooting questions/process multiple times. Finally decided to move away from the Samsung Ring to Oura.
There has been a lot of negative feedback in a lot of reviews on this ring, so Samsung should admit it has a high fail rate and develop a fix - simply repeating Samsung Care is available and the 1 year warranty does NOTHING to solve the problem. For a known issue like dramatic battery decline, rings should be swapped out without charge.

Salutations Kevn,
Thanks for taking the time to share your sentiments with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We value your feedback as we continue to make improvements on our product line to align with the needs of our customers. As you know, Samsung provides a 12-month warranty for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. When it comes to charging your Galaxy Ring, you have three options: USB-C charging, charging wirelessly, and charging with Wireless PowerShare. Each of these methods requires using the Galaxy Ring case that came with your ring. Each ring's case is specific to its ring. The Galaxy Ring should be fully charged before using it for the first time. If the battery is completely drained, it may need to be charged for at least ten minutes before it can be used. No matter which charging method you use, you must charge the Galaxy Ring in the case that came with it. Please take a moment to check out, "How to charge the Galaxy Ring" to help resolve what you have described to be experiencing with your Galaxy Ring battery. With the Galaxy Ring, you're able to slip your device on and forget it with a seven-day charge that won’t slow you down. Combined with a full cradle charge, you can use Galaxy Ring for up to 14 days without plugging into an outlet. Please feel free to review, "Galaxy Ring won't charge" to help resolve what you may be experiencing with your device. If you have any questions for us or if you would like any further assistance after reviewing the resources shared, please do not hesitate to reach out to Samsung Support at your earliest convenience. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer.
