Major Battery Degradation - Total Waste of Money
on April 1, 2026
Posted by: Stephanie 123
Absolute garbage. The battery died after just a few months of use. Sleep tracking is a joke—it stops recording the second you move in the morning and won't capture any sleep if you go back to bed. You can't manually update it to fix the errors. The only good thing is that there’s no subscription, but that's because the product doesn't work long enough to justify one. Avoid at all costs.

Howdy Stephanie, Thanks for reaching out to share your thoughts with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your constructive feedback allows us to continue making improvements on our product line, based on consumer feedback. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which is similar to an extended warranty and an insurance package combined. It can provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ truly offers you the ultimate peace of mind when it comes to protecting your investment. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. To prevent damage to your device, avoid wearing other metal rings on the same or adjacent fingers, and remove the ring when handling heavy, hard, or abrasive objects. If you would like to share additional feedback with us or if you would like further assistance after reviewing the resources shared below, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support at your leisure. Thank you for being a valued customer. - Debra

Ring lasted less than year and Samsung knows!
on March 16, 2026

I bought this ring in addition to the Samsung 23 Ultra, then the 24 Ultra, Galaxy watch, Bud Pro 2 and Bud Pro 3 after switch from the company that is the fruit. Ive really enjoyed the freedom and personality this eco system has. So when I saw the ring I had to have it despite being not great financially. I figured everything else lasted so this should as well. The ring has worked great for the first several months and nothing g indicated any issues. Ran diagnostics weekly, some time more, no issues with anything. A few weeks ago I noticed my ring wouldn't last more than several hours after the last few updates to the ring. Lucky if I got a handful of hour. My buddy, who loves samsung as well, mentioned that his galaxy ring was draining on him. Keep in mind he bought his a month after seeing mine. I told him mine was as well. He said he contacted damsung amd they were happy to take it back amd switch it for a new one.A week later he told me he had already gotten his replacement and I decided juat to try and see what Samsung would do. I realized my warranty expired 2-3 weeks prior but certainly SAMSUNG would do the right thing? I mean after all they are fully aware they put out a product that only last a year and press you to get the insurance and warranties to offset the replacements they will have to send out. You rhink they'd want to make it right for shipping out dud rings. I can speculate if its all Galaxy ring or juat the first generation of them. I was just shocked they nit picked over a couple of weeks concerning thw warranty time frame. If you are looking for a quality long lasting health ring id look other places. You might as well just burn 320ish in a fire. At least spend it on something that will last. This is how big companies loose customers by not caring about the garbage products they put out or customer satisfaction .
BOO SAMSUNG BOO! 👎🏽

Not what I hoped for
on September 16, 2024

from Norfolk, VA
I've had my ring for ten days. Four days after purchase it scratched and silver shows through on the black. Had I known that would happen, I would've minimally ordered the silver ring since I think the ring looks cheap now. I paid too much for this to happen. The ring is also quite uncomfortable. I'm glad I can at least switch the finger I wear it on to allieve that some what. I am deeply hopeful that the app will improve as well- the app crashes frequently when I try to look at stats, despite that I am accessing it on a Galaxy S24. I've been a Samsung fan for years, but this is not my favorite samsung product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ring is cool at first, but battery life won't last past a few hours after about 8 months. Cost is not worth it for a diagnosis to repair.

Still too early to tell. One negative thus far is the black finish is already wearing off on the underside of the ring, which is disappointing. I have had the ring since the launch.

Ring useless after software update
on July 18, 2025
Posted by: CS12
After software update the battery live is terrible, goes from 100% to 99% as soon as taking it off the charging dock. Battery life drains three times as fast now. Now it always disconnecting from the phone. I tried reconnecting didn't work, i was holding my phone in the same hand as my ring and it was fully charged. I got the ring to track sleep, it is useless, now as it does not stay connected.

Stick to an Aura Ring

I have had this device for a year now, and I must say, the battery life is absolutely terrible. It barely lasts through the day, which is incredibly frustrating. Additionally, the step count is consistently inaccurate, making it nearly impossible to trust the data. Overall, I am quite disappointed with the performance of this device.
