Good idea, okay execution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ring tracks a lot of what you'd like, but it's weirdly hard to view certain things, and there are surprisingly limited exercise tracking options. Several dozen exercises arr options to track but almoat none of them include heart rate tracking, which I would have expected to be the very basic minimum. I've also had battery life issues recently, though I'm hopeful those will be resolved by a service repair in progress.

Hello there Jptiger,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We appreciate your critiques as we continue to improve the functionality and performance of our product line. Samsung offers a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which can be added to eligible devices. It's similar to an extended warranty plan and an insurance package combined that provides protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ offers you the ultimate peace of mind when it comes to protecting your investment. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Please feel free to take a look at, "How to charge the Galaxy Ring" if you would like to learn more about the factors that may be impacting the life of your device. The Galaxy Ring automatically tracks your heart rate during exercise and you can view this data in the Samsung Health app. For more detailed tracking, start a specific workout from the Samsung Health app on your phone, which can also provide stats like pace and distance. You can also manually measure your heart rate anytime by using the "Measure" option in the Galaxy Wearable app. If you would like any further assistance after, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support. Thanks for being a dedicated Samsung customer!

Bricked halfway through product warranty
on December 4, 2025
Posted by: Jayk

This product should be recalled.
The battery on the Samsung Ring is considered by Samsung to be a "consumable" yet cannot be replaced.
So when my 6 month old ring battery went to 8 hours to get to 42% and then 45min to go to 0%, I, a Samsung owner of their stove, washer and dryer, tv, and galaxy phones with the 3, has to enter the broken process to fix it.
Do not buy unless you plan to get one every 3-6 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great value. Solid, easy to use.

Feels high quality. Easy to use. Use and charging are simple and straight-forward. Wish there was a beep to find it but the lights have worked. Hopefully, the only time I will take it off is to charge it since it is basically shower proof. I like the gold finish for looks and easy finding if it drops. Light weight. Stylish. Recommend getting the sizing kit to be sure of size. I ended up with it on my "Ring Finger" since the ring on the index finger kept hitting my mouse. Happy with my purchase so far. Great having one app for my watch and ring. Impressed. NO SUBSCRIPTION! Highly recommended.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hey there Size,
Thank you for reaching out to share your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your constructive feedback allows us to make improvements on our product line. Most people have different ring sizes, and what may fit one person will not fit another. Luckily, the Sizing Kit for the Galaxy Ring is available so you can accurately select the ring size that fits your finger before purchasing the ring. It's typical for the physical Galaxy Ring to feel different than the plastic ring available in the sizing kit. As you know, the Galaxy Ring is not offered half sizes and sizing can vary with finger swelling. Fingers naturally swell with heat, salt, activity, and hormones, so a size that feels good one moment might feel different later. We recommend reaching out to Samsung Support after reviewing the resources shared below if you would like to share additional feedback with us or if you would like any further assistance with troubleshooting. Thank you for being a staunch Samsung customer.

Great replacement of a smart watch

I have worn a smart watch for close to 8 years. Switiching to the ring has been a great chance to "unplug" a bit more as I no longer get the notifications buzzing on my wrist anymore. I still get the health tracking, but with less distraction. I also get to wear all of my older regular watches that have been sitting idle for so long.
definitely recommend buying and switching.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love my ring. Sometimes my fingers swell and I have to switch to a different finger but I'm okay with it. It's a super thick ring so I sized for my first finger. It's been great. No regerts.
