New Technology = Lesser Quality

i previously owned a samsung un f8000 75" and it was, hands down, the best picture i've ever seen - better than any theater, including 3d and imax. when people walked into my house, their reaction was "wow! that tv picture’s amazing!" the main technological difference between that model and current models is the motion rate (mr). the un series had a mr of 1200. the highest mr in current models is 240. when my un model died, i was heartbroken. after months of research, i purchased the qled 80 series. what a let down!! it's like going back to the old console tvs my parents had. this picture, despite the "updated" technology, doesn't even begin to compare to the previous model. my advice to samsung: concentrate your r&d efforts back on the mr and all other things will fall into place.

No "multiview" for pre-installed apps.

bought 2 of these tv's for multi-view function and it's "endless possibilities for splitting screens and viewing several types of content at the same time"- samsung. the only thing you can do is screen mirror a samsung phone on the right and on the left you can watch air tv, cable, samsung tv, or hdmi input. none of the pre-installed apps (disney, hulu,prime or netflix) work on multiview. youtube semi works but you need to exit split screen to search content then go back into multiview. samsung need to create a software update for this issue. picture, sound, and design are good but seriously disappointed at the multiview function. as there are cheaper alternatives ie. tu7000.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

"multiview feature"

other than these apps: (samsung tv plus, youtube, or youtube tv). can you provide a list of apps that are compatible with "multiview feature"? i think that most consumers would agree that this "multiview feature" should be compatible with todays most popular apps such as disney, hulu, prime, netflix's, hbo max etc... additionally, i want to point out that these apps are already pre-installed in the tv which i see as even more reason as to which these apps should be compatible with this "multiview feature". samsung should have tested the functionality of this "feature" prior to selling it to us. what is needed here is a answer in form of a firmware update to allow these popular pre-installed apps to be compatible with "multiview feature"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I just received my Samsung TV, I am in the process of setting up my TV Hopefully for easy setup I will keep everyone updated on my progress , another great night watching movies cant waiting for concerts and sporting events . The new SAmsung tv gives everyone a hole new outlook when watching tv, its a great way to stream music making you feel like you are actually in concert, or evening watching sporting events with great sounds. Samsung has giving the Q80A QLED 4K TV a new out outlook for there brand. A huge recommendation for this tv especially if you like to entertain with family or friends

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this Samsung TV. The colors are beautiful and sound is amazing. I also have a Samsung phone and tablet so I like how they play together. It has all the apps you may need and some you may not have known you need. In the second part I include SmartThings. You can control your light and smart stuff with this TV. The remote is great and easy to recharge. You can do that with USB like phones or solar. All in all it is a great all around TV that looks great. We use the TV for sports, movies, TV shows and showing off our family pictures. We really love using this TV to show off family vacation pictures to our friends when they stop over. The pictures look amazing on this TV. We also enjoy movie nights, local dimming makes this TV a joy for that. The motion of sports did not affect the quality of the pictures this TV provides. All sports looked very good. This is a great all around TV. I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest opinion.

Samsung Hits It Out of the Park Again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon opening the box I was immediately impressed with the quality of the television, The Q80A comes to play with incredible picture quality, I’ve been playing next gen video games and watching action movies constantly. I’ve had exactly 0 issues the refresh rate keeps up with every game and movie I’ve watched. I forgot just how bright Samsung TVs are and the Q80A takes brightness to another level. I’ve been nothing but impressed by the overall quality of this product, I was shocked by just how much I’ve enjoyed the Q80A, the most surprising part of my experience at this point is the sound. The Q80A has outstanding sound quality, this outperforms ever LED or OLED television I’ve ever owned in the sound department. I would absolutely recommend this television to everyone. Samsung brings the quality you expect on this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung 55” Class Q80A QLED 4K TV is great! Right out of the box, this TV is sexy. Sleek, thin, edge to edge LED screen, and a finger-print resistant matte finish on the back. I mounted this TV on the wall, but the stand is a very sturdy one, and attaches to a heavy-duty steel plate. They aren't messing around with the stability of this. From unboxing to set-up, everything was a breeze. AND the SOLAR POWERED remote (yes, you heard that right, solar-powered) works like a charm! Simple, small, and yet with everything you need. As soon as you turn on the TV, you fly though the set-up. It makes connecting all your extra devices, and accounts super easy, and right there as part of the initial set-up. This means you don't have to go searching around for things later to try and get your Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime accounts, etc., set-up later. You have plenty of pre-set options for display, as is typical with these newer flat-screen TVs. For example, cinema mode, game mode, and standard. However, Samsung makes it very easy to go through and tweak and adjust picture settings, and quality, to exactly like you want it. There is also a mode that you can set to have the picture and sound automatically adjust depending on ambient light and noise. We tried this out, and found it to work fantastic. Commercial sound levels can finally be at the same level as the show you were watching...
The Samsung 55” Class Q80A QLED 4K TV has 4 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, a LAN and an optical digital port. Enough for all your robust gaming, blu-ray, and video streaming devices.
The sound on this TV is the best I have ever had in a TV. The sound follows around the room depending on what is happening on the TV. THe background noises, for example a car, will be stereo and helps to immerse you in whatever movie or TV show you might be enjoying. No need for a soundbar with this TV to help enhance the quality - it's great right out of the box. And just like anything, Samsung allows you to customize this for your trebles, mids and bass.
The picture quality on this TV is amazing. The 4k quality is fantastic. Some TVs get grainy the close you get, even though claiming to be 4k quality. Not Samsung - sharp, crisp and clear all around, and from every angle.
All in all, this is now my new favorite TV. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants a high quality, in both sound and picture, smart TV. Well done, Samsung!
