This tv is the best!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everyone who stops by says how true to life the picture is and its true, it's amazing! I stream my music from my phone or my laptop.
It is great for viewing my laptop on the TV for maps and anything. I also watch youtube and Netflix all the time on it. The sound is great, but I would like to be able to adjust the bass and treble at times.
But overall, it's been worth every penny.

Great overall Tv for any and everything needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a family we use our TV to it's fullest capabilities, we utilize it for going which is for my son's, and the weekend me and the wifey use it to watch movies and with the ultra viewing angle it doesn't matter where we sit or if we lay down we get the full experience of watching the movie one of the things that really impressed me was that it came with so many apps that I was very impressed and then to have Bluetooth capability where I could just put on headphones and listen to music if I felt like it and not be wired I could have it Bluetooth the sound quality is excellent the picture is just amazingly crisp and bright and one of the things that impressed me the most was that it was easy to set up and I say this because my wife set the TV up as I was not home . I was very impressed when I came home to the TV being set up and ready to experience our new TV our new Samsung TV thank you Samsung.

Awesome TV but

Thank you for choosing Samsung's Q60A TV and for sharing your thoughts regarding the image quality. Your TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer your content is to 4K, the better the image will look on the screen.

Here are some tips to help improve the picture clarity:
1. HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing.
2. If you have an analog cable box or satellite box, upgrade to a digital cable box or satellite box.
3. Change the output resolution of your devices, such as digital broadcast receiver, IPTV, and set-top box to UHD or HD.
4. You can further adjust your sharpness, brightness, contrast, color, and more by going to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings
5. Choose a Picture Mode by going to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and choose from Dynamic, Standard, Natural, Movie, or Filmmaker Mode.

Great tv for movies and gaming.

Initially bought it for my kids to watch movies during this time of pandemic and amazed at the quality and how smooth this tv is. Started trying out gaming with our Nintendo switch and it did not disappoint. Very good tv and super happy with it!

Lack of brightness is a real problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV is unusable for certain conditions. Unfortunately, there is not enough brightness to make the set useful for watching TV or playing dark video games. I believe Samsung knows this is an issue because the unit came with the Brightness level maxed out as a default. I'm exploring returning this unit because of this issue.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Q80A TV and for sharing details of your image quality. To optimize your picture quality, please be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1805.4 which includes picture quality updates. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

If the picture you are seeing is not to your liking after performing any necessary firmware updates, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.

You can select the Picture Mode that provides the best viewing experience. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

Intelligent Mode also enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Adaptive Picture, which is among the options, optimizes brightness and provides the best picture quality in real time, based on the lighting condition and the content you're viewing.
