I have chronic low back pain and sometimes cannot sit for very long. I thought, based on the reviews, that this kind of chair might help. It doesn't. I actually feel worse after sitting in it for awhile. That might improve if I was more conditioned to sitting in it - but I think it takes some measure of core abdominal and low back strength. If the seat cushion had a higher quality , higher density memory foam the chair would be perfect. The foam compresses too much leaving you sitting on hard wood surface.

I had a wooden, non-adjustable model in college and remembered it being very comfortable. I recently hurt my back and need to sit proper at my desk so I decided to give this style of chair another shot.
