Very nice Grill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works just as I hoped it would. Little inconsistent in cold weather but that was expected. The only complaint I would have is that it is not quite tall enough. Another 6 inches on the legs would be perfect.

New to pellet grilling

The experience so far has been very enjoyable.
I ordered online and the grill was delivered within 2 weeks to Michigan.

Very Mild Almost Non-Existent Smoke Flavor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the 550B smoker. It seems sturdy and holds temperature very well, BUT it does not put a strong or even mild smoke flavor in the food. I've tried hickory and Mesquite pellets. I've done chicken for 2hrs up to Pork Ribs for 7hrs. All of them came out tasting like my rub, with almost no smoke character at all. I contribute this to the fact that smoke is only created as pellets are dumped into the pot, but they incinerate in 30secs or less and the fan blows all of the smoke right out the unit very quickly. So the smoke never just sits and penetrates the food. It is essentially a convection oven/grill. I brought this up to customer service and they told me I had to put it on "Smoke" mode for 3hrs, and then put it up to 225-250 whatever temp you're using. The smoke mode seems to possibly dump pellets more often, but again the fan just blows the smoke out of the smoker. That being said, even if their suggestion worked, why the heck would anyone want to smoke their food for 3hrs before it even begins to cook. All of that being said, I'm going to give this thing 3 more tries and then return it, if it cannot not do better. Back to charcoal or propane. Very unimpressed. If someone had no experience smoking food with a real smoker, I could see them being fooled into thinking this thing smokes food properly, but if you have, you will 100% be disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Zgrill a few days ago...assembly was pretty easy and a lot of fun...it took about 3 hours. The only problems I had was that the lower shelf was dented and there was a chip in the coating of the lower rack. I am hoping that I can cook meat on the grill and just avoid that spot so as to not contaminate the meat.
