First one received was missing a screw washer and had a broken cap. A new one was promptly sent as a replacement. One of its wheels is not placed properly and is higher than the other. We used river stone instead of plantings and it looks great and holds the umbrella stable
This base works perfect for a 11ft rectangle umbrella with a 2” pole. The umbrella is heavy and this base holds it secure and is attractive at the same time. The wheels are a bonus so you can move the umbrella wherever it’s needed for shade.
LOVE THIS!! Amazing solution to my frustrating problem! The high winds in the AZ desert can blow even a closed umbrella in a table over with the heaviest iron base! The high wind even rocked the iron tube lose from my round iron base! Not with this incredible base. It is easy to “install” and is incredibly stable. I put red bricks on the bottom layer and filled it with yard rocks. Going to the rock yard to pick out prettier rock for top layer. Seasonally may fill with annual plants left in their containers to hide rocks. Pre drilled drainage holes are great. Plan to buy another one for the front courtyard I love it so much!
