Only lasted 1 summer

We purchased this and stored it in the garage, used it for 1 summer outside then put back in garage at the end of the summer and it broke, the crank snapped right off! Very unhappy

This umbrella is not functional

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave a second star because the material is good quality and if on a useable stand, might be worthy, however, unless you have a cement drill to bolt the stand to the ground, this umbrella is useless. We currently have cement blocks holding down the base in an attempt to use it but it looks hideous and still makes me uneasy. It would be awful if it toppled over on someone. The umbrella is top heavy when opened and the stand cannot compete with the weight. There is no way to secure it unless you are able to drill the base into the ground leaving the base exposed constantly to weather and unable to move with the sun or on another area of the outdoor seating. This design needs to be rethought.
