It has all of the features I was looking for, such as an open-and-close crank and a tie that keeps it closed. It is easy for a senior to operate. It seamlessly fits into our little patio table set. We used a BCP umbrella stand, which we are also pleased with.

Perfect for the backyard

I didn't have much hopes for this when I ordered it (got it on sale) but I must say that I am more than pleasantly surprised, both by the quality of the umbrella and also how good it looks. I live near the coast, and as such there are some pretty hefty breezes that come through, but this umbrella hasn't budged an inch. It holds up to the sun and wind like it was made for that (go figure!) and comes with a crank to make opening and closing easy. Worked straight out of the box, once I fit the two pole pieces together. 100% recommend.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This umbrella is of high quality material and about the nicest I have seen including some resorts. The water filled base is very adequate for the 7.5 foot umbrella. We live on top of a windy hill and no problems so far.
