Pricey, but does the job.

The only thing really wrong with them is that the pins that are supposed to lock them together are not long enough cross over the t-base (of my umbrella, also purchased through BCP) and sink into the holes on each side.
When full, they absolutely hold down the umbrella. We have had some significant wind since receiving this and have never had concerns about the base moving at all.
As simple molded pieces of plastic, I don’t understand how these are priced at over $100. I paid closer to $60, but even at that price, I find myself scratching my head. I guess it’s the price you pay to have something made-to-fit and/or made-to-go-with the cantilever umbrella.

I have tried water in the base and I find it leaks and the clips don’t really support where I have the base. Will try sand next. Cover is nice

So far it seems to do the job. We’ve had a few bad storms and the umbrella still stands. We did put two sand bags on top of the base just for extra support but I really don’t think they were necessary. I’m satisfied with the purchase so far.

Delivery was quick. Well packaged. Nice coverage. The umbrella does sway slightly (umbrella part, not the unit itself) when windy. For sure get the weighted stand (sold separately). Easy to use and adjust levels/angles. Not a lot of space needed for this which is great. Nice design!

Highly recommended getting this base

Highly recommended getting this base for a huge umbrella. You just add water to the base to keep the umbrella in place. I’ve had some windy days and kept the umbrella closed and the base has kept the umbrella from flying away.

Love all three products! I live in N.Y.C. so my backyard is very small. I’m not traveling this summer and I will be spending a lot time in my backyard enjoying these products. Also, they give a nice appeal to my backyard.

Easy to assemble and hold heavy umbrella!

Stand was easy to assemble/fill with water. So far even on a windy day it has performed as planned. The brackets that bridge between the 4 containers are short and can pop out but overall no problem.
