Okay, so now you are ordering the offset umbrella and you need to know what base to buy - this is it!
The only reason why it doesn't get all five stars:
1.) The holes to pour fluid/sand are so tiny, that we actually couldn't get anything but water in - we couldn't find dry sand?! The good news is that the water works just fine - and it's cleaner!
2.) The metal poker things that hold them in place are difficult to install - you need to lift the edges of each one up a little in order to do it - so you def need two people.
3.) The base is HUGE - takes up a LOT of space - but that is what keeps the umbrella in place, so it's necessary. You just can't put furniture in that spot.
Aside from those three things, the water is def heavy enough for the umbrella not to go careening off of our deck and into the neighbor's house.
If we owned our home, we would have probably just drilled the umbrella to the deck - but since that isn't the case, I am happy with this base.
