Filled with water and works great! Much better than I thought! I live in south Louisiana and this works well to keep me canopy umbrella from falling over or flying away in those frequent gulf coast thunderstorms.

The pins are worthless! The umbrellas blows over even with zero wind. Complete waste of money. So disappointed!

The base is great and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Easy to fill with water and put in place BUT it’s HUGE!! Make sure you have adequate space for it because it takes up a ton of space. Also the metal brackets that came with it won’t fit across the stand
