The umbrella stand looks just as advertised. One of the four segments had a small crack in it - - - leaks if filled with water - ok if we use sand

Holds the umbrella in place

Does the job of holding thee umbrella in place ... however filling with sand is awkward. (filling with water was. a no-go with our cold nights.) A bit pricey for what is basically four plastic bottles, OTOH, they look much better than a bunch of sandbags laid over the umbrella stand.

Well, these are suggested as the appropriate weights to use with the cantilever umbrella. unfortunately, the cross bars on the cantilever umbrella are too wide to be able to affix the connecting U shaped connectors as intended. while they are easy to fill and position, theyre equally as easy to bump out of correct position. i dont feel like these securely weight the umbrella because they are easily bumped and moved.

Metal pieces meant to hold the sections together are too short & don't reach the drill holes - hopefully it's not a problem since the weight of the water should keep them in place.

Poor pin manufacturing

The individual base weights are fine however some of the pins we received don't line up and can't be inserted when paired with the umbrella we purchased that was listed as compatible with this base.
