Better than Apple Watch

I switched from an Apple Watch to the garmin 255 and I absolutely love it! It gives me all the details I need from every run and it is very easy to use!

Great forerunner but the music part sucks

The Forerunner itself is a great watch with great features. The music part is so buggy that it doesn't work. I have tried 2 different music apps and none of them work as advertised.

Almost perfect

I bought this watch because I wanted to go running again and needed a built in trainer. Garmin is great for that! I also love the built in music storage so I can leave the phone in the car. It tracks accurately the distance and the heart rate. The sleep feature overestimates my sleep because I read in bed and the non-movement is flagged as sleep. I wish it would be better at that. The display is great under regular light but it is a bit hit or miss under low light.
The Firmware update feature using the phone app is extremely slow and almost useless - I resorted to the Garmin app on the laptop,
My biggest problem is the training plan feature. If you have a plan and decide to do something else, you inadvertently start the plan on the watch. You then have to cancel the plan before you can execute the other exercise you want to do.
All in all great watch for the money. Just a few gripes prevent perfect score.

Out of this world build quality.

I know a lot of these reviews are people just talking a talking on about this watch and it’s amazing features, and they are all correct. I purchased this watch to replace my old apple watch because it started giving me inaccurate readings on runs. This watch was a significant upgrade and completely worth the money. If you are big into running and statistics that can help you improve, think of this watch as a tool and investment, rather than a purchase.

Fenix 6 Pro daily wear. FR255 for running and sleep metrics. GPS chipset superior to the F6Pro and more comfortable running and use during sleep.

I bought this watch because of the features it has such as pulse ox and vo2 max sensors. Unfortunately the heart rate monitor barely works. During trail rides it constantly loses heart rate and if it does pick up a heart again it’s usually 30-40 bpm below my actually heart rate. Even during normal day to day use it struggles to monitor heart rate. The sleep feature and hrv is pointless as it doesn’t record sleep because the heart rate monitor doesn’t work. I tried resetting the watch back to factory settings in the hope this might fix it. Unfortunately it will now not pair to Garmin connect and I get can’t find device notification. The watch looks nice through as an expensive paperweight

Nice upgrade from mt forerunner 245 music

I decided to retire my old forerunner 245 music, it was not holding a charge and it was diffucult to charge, maybe the contacts were dirty or just wearing out. This watch is very similar,which is a good thing. I liked all the features, especially being able to download podcast which I love to listen to while running. I do still have trouble seeing the podcast on my watch while running but other than that no complaints. I don't pay attention to all the morning and evening reports. I know how I feel at 65!
