Capable scanner for its price

This scanner has a good value for money and quite capable in its price category for semi-professional use. Build quality, materials are really good, scanning is quite fast and tracking is excellent. In laser mode I was able to scan objects painted black without issues, it was even capturing geometry of some reflective surfaces.
On the downsides: the software may have surprises, I spend quite a lot of time trying to understand why my scanner was not detectable neither on win neither on mac machines, had to re-flash the firmware and then do some dances around CrealityScan app permissions. In the end all the issues were resolved but it was a frustrating process. The Creality support was really trying to help but I solved the issues myself in the end, you have to be tech-savvy or have a friend who can help with initial setup.
Also, it is a pity that the scanner does not have built-in wifi and you have to buy a wifi-bridge, the cable is quite short and rigid and it is difficult to move around with the scanner.
Overall I am happy with the purchase and I am looking forward making some fun projects with it.
