Shake me like a rag doll and they won't fall out

I've tried several different earbuds over the years from cheap ones to very expensive ones. My ear canal in each ear is different. I've tried several different sizes of ear inserts that are provided with the more expensive buds. All to no avail as the buds will not stay within my ears and pop out quite easily. For one set of nice earbuds I purchased, I was chasing them around the floor of an airplane during the trip. These Bose open earbuds have been a great solution for me. Somebody could pick me up and shake me like a rag doll and they wouldn't fall out. In addition, they have a high quality sound that is very pleasing to listen to. Were they are placed on the ear is comfortable and they don't interfere with sunglasses. Now a note. They do not go into the ear canal so they don't reduce ambient noise. This can be a benefit when you are in situations where you need sound awareness such as driving or at work. If sound suppression is your goal, go to something else. In summary, I have been very happy with these.

Son loves the Earbuds

I bought these as a Christmas gift for my son and he loves them. He said they are so much easier at the gym. No fear of one falling out. He says the sound is great, too.

Disappointing Performance for the Price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds as a Christmas gift, and while I had high hopes, my experience has been nothing but frustrating. Within a month, I had to send them back for a replacement because they wouldn’t maintain a Bluetooth connection. The audio would constantly drop in and out, making them nearly unusable.
Bose sent me a new pair, and now, about a month later, I’m dealing with the exact same issue. For earbuds that cost nearly $300, I expected much better reliability. While they are incredibly comfortable to wear, the persistent technical issues completely overshadow that benefit.
If you’re looking for high-quality, hassle-free earbuds, I can’t recommend these. The connection problems are just too much of a headache. I wouldn’t buy them again.

These are an amazing idea of a product

I was skeptical at first, but they sound amazing. They aren't for people looking for noise suppression. I was not looking for noise cancelling, I was looking for something that sounded great but I could still be aware of the surrounding environment.
I have not been disappointed, I really love not having that sticky gooey ear wax feeling.

Excellent sound

Although I gave these five stars I do have one complaint. Ears don't stop growing and i am older. (66) I have a very hard time keeping these on for longer than an hour or so, and they tend to pull away from my ear canal because of the size.

Open Earbuds work well for me

Most ear buds do not fit snugly into my ear canal. I have been a long-time happy user of Bose over the ear, noise cancellation headphone so I decided to give these a try. They clip onto my ears securely but sometimes I forget they are there. The sound is great.

Bose Quality Sound in a tiny device

The Ultra Open Earbuds took some getting used to. I have always used in ear canal earbuds, loved my quiet comfort until they took a ride in the washing machine. The Ultra Open Earbuds are the most comfortable earbuds I have ever used. The sound quality is amazing, the available options for setup are another plus. Knowing the earbuds will not fall off has been an inviting feature.

Amazing open ear headphones! Bose did it again!

Pros: No touch sensor. There is a button that you can customize instead, it is hidden seamlessly. If you need to adjust them while they are in your ear and you are on a call, you won't drop your call. You still hear your surroundings and sound quality is amazing. They have several features to customize the sound based on your day to day and are very comfortable to wear.
Cons: These aren't noise canceling. Unable to answer calls by touch. No find my headphones feature.
These headphones are game changers! I go to the gym at 5AM, and most of the time, it's still dark outside. For me to be able to hear my surroundings while walking is really nice. The same goes for if I'm listening to a book or music while working, but I still need to hear my boss or if my phone rings. I love how the background is suddle, and I can still hear my music primarily. The best part is that I don't have to sacrifice sound quality. When I was listening to my favorite book, the author is narrating, and I swear I can feel her words, I can feel the pain in her voice. OMG! I tried them on my daughter, just curious if they fit her ears, she wont take them off now! They fit, and she literally loves them! Of course, the volume is down, but she is now playing while listening to her favorite songs. She's a really big music person. She has even started singing the songs and she is only 2! It's so cute!
Overall I would give them a 9/10! Only thing they are missing is the find my headphones feature.
