One UI 7 issue

One UI 7 download/install will cause your A36 5G to constantly check location and drain your already poorly-performing new battery even faster.

Great value great phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not in love with the idea of dropping 1k+ every 18 months on the newest brightest shinyest thing (cough cough 🍎). Bought this after weighing out cost and benefits after needing to replace an older A series phone cause I accidently yeeted said older phone down some stairs (twice). I don't mind the A series not having all the fancy S series pluses and tbh don't miss or notice the difference in the middle level versions. It does take a hot minute to start up but nothing bad. Battery life is about what you'd expect for this level of smart phone, I can get away charging every other day but thats weekends when I use it less. I don't use the Galaxy AI features personally but they seem like they could be very helpful for the right audience.

Not bad, not perfect either

Solid phone. Just as decent as last year's model. I dislike the in-screen fingerprint reader as it is as slow and finicky as the A35. I must sometimes press it 2-3 times. I wanted the A26 with the nice side fingerprint scanner, but I do not like phones in black. I will stick with the A36 for now. At least the color is nice (Awesome Lime) and the screen is awesome. Good camera too. Wish it had Mediatek 7300 or higher. Snapdragon 6 gen 3 is so-so.
I would recommend this to a friend!

1. Make sure your finger covers the entire sensor, and hold the device the same way you did when you set up the fingerprints.

4. Keep the device and apps updated.
5. Remove and re-add your fingerprints.
