Less accurate than a professional

I just had a stress test today for my heart at a Heart & Lung Specialist center and wore their oximeter on the tip of my index finger on my left hand and it was 97% most of the test whereas my Lookee O2 ring that was on my right thumb was sometimes up to 6% lower and never reached 97%. The nurse said to switch the Lookee O2 ring it to my right index finger instead so that we are comparing the same fingers but it still read 4% lower pretty consistently. The stress test was over 10 minutes long so there was a lot of time to compare. The ring is comfortable to wear at night and the reports from the app are nice but I am not sure if the lack of accuracy is worth the cost since I don't REALLY know if my O2 is falling to 88% or not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Helped to avoid a CPAP machine

I was having pretty bad sleep apnea to the point I was waking up gasping for breath at night. With a Lookee sleep ring I set the oxygen level and vibration alert level. Usually it just vibrates my finger a few times at the beginning of the night and then after that my oxygen levels steady out in the 90's. If you cant sleep with a hose of a CPAP then give this a try for a week. I think you will like it. Also I have been using mine for 2 years and no issues with battery life.

Inaccurate O2 reading

I purchased one of these rings to test my sleeping O2 levels. This ring told me I had moderate desaturation events. I've had an at home sleep study done while wearing this ring and the results poorly correlate. The Ring showed O2 level less than 90% for 18 min while the at home test gave less than 90% for 20 sec. Difference of 4% of time below 90% vs 0.1% less than 90%. Comparing the graphs the O2 ring showed a O2 picture that is much much worse than reality. I've also had an official in hospital sleep test and again no correlation with O2 ring. IMO this ring is not accurate enough to provide any useful info. It may work for you and might be an issue with the one I received but be forewarned.

Subscription fee? What?

Just received my o2ring and downloaded the app only to discover most of the features require a $99/year subscription fee. There is nothing on the website about this that I could find. Very disappointed as it says free app, detailed reports etc. I will be returning this. Talk about dishonest marketing.
