Bummer to say that after only one or two days of being a travel-esq mouse, the mouse is scratched and beat up. I have a soft messenger bag that I throw the mouse in while I commute or travel and after pulling it out, it was scratched pretty bad from just being in the bag with other items. Decent mouse otherwise!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bluetooth or dongle - mouse skips and delays or disappears frequently. Not terribly usable.

This is a basic office desktop mouse for me. The simplicity is exactly what I need. The battery life is long-lasting, and I can quickly charge; I'm ready to go.
