Positioning the magnetic rings is easy and the adhesive is strong, as well as the magnetic connection, but something about the ring prevents fast charging. Without the ring, my phone charges fast, but as soon as I put the ring between my device and the wireless charger, it charges slowly. I ended up removing this from my phone and returning it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
